Effective October 28, 2019, we will be resuming our normal daily schedule on the Cascades route now that the Oregon Department of Transportation's paving work is finished on I-5 in the Willamette Valley. Pick-up and drop-off times were changed back in May in order to accommodate delays from lane closures and work zone congestion. View, download, and print the schedule here. Passengers will see the new schedules reflected when purchasing tickets from Amtrak. Thank you for your patience during the busy summer construction season!

Cascades (Portland-Eugene)
service alert
- 05/30/2019
On Monday, May 20, 2019 we implemented temporary schedule changes to our Cascades route (Portland-Eugene) due to recently announced highway construction on I-5. This schedule will be in effect until construction is completed. This could be as late as the end of October and it is likely that we will need to make small adjustments here and there as the construction progresses. Go to the Schedules page here to view and print the new schedule. Up-to-date schedule times will be reflected in Amtrak’s system when purchasing tickets. The construction will take place between Salem and Woodburn resulting in 30-minute delays, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation. This will greatly impact our morning and evening runs, which will in turn impact the punctuality of our midday runs as well. Because of this and the fact that the Cascades route makes critical connections to and from the Amtrak Cascades in Portland, we have adjusted ALL runs on this route.

Passengers will notice different buses and some new faces driving them. ODOT would like to thank Pacific Crest Bus Lines for operating this route since 2011 and welcome our new operator, MTR Western, to beautiful Eastern Oregon!

SouthWest (Klamath Falls-Brookings)
service alert
- 06/01/2018
As of June 2018, the eastbound bus from Brookings will have earlier arrival times, while the westbound bus from Klamath Falls will have slightly later arrival times. The new schedule more closely matches our average travel times with consideration for regular traffic patters. We also implemented a small fare increase, our first since 2009. This small increase will help us keep up with inflation and risings costs so that we can continue offering the most efficient, economical service possible for our passengers.
