Route overview
POINT operates four daily routes: Northwest (Portland-Astoria), Cascades (Portland-Eugene), Eastern (Bend-Ontario), and SouthWest (Klamath Falls-Brookings). Find the stop closest to you and start planning your trip. Please note: For safety reasons, the POINT only uses our designated stops. We do not make unscheduled “flag stops.”
NorthWest (Portland-Astoria)
The NorthWest Route provides daily bus service between downtown Portland and the Northwest Oregon Coast, serving a total of eight cities along the route.
Schedule: There is currently only one trip per day in each direction. See the NorthWest schedule.
Connections: This route has many connections to and from other services at major transit centers like Union Station in Portland, Sunset Transit Center in Beaverton, and the Astoria Transit Center. We even share some of our stops with TriMet and Sunset Empire Transportation District (SETD) to make transfers as easy as possible.
Tickets: Amtrak, Greyhound, and local independent ticket agents sell NorthWest Route tickets. Our bus drivers do not sell tickets. Read more about tickets.

Cascades (Portland-Eugene)
The Cascades Route provides daily bus service between Downtown Portland and the University of Oregon in Eugene, serving 6 cities and making a total of 6 stops.
Schedule: There are currently three trips per day in each direction. See the Cascades schedule.
Connections: This route is coordinated with the Amtrak Cascades train service, which connects 18 cities in the Pacific Northwest along a 467-mile route from Eugene to Vancouver, B.C. The top priority of the route is getting passengers to and from the train at Union Station in Portland, but the service is open to the general public and you need not be a train passenger to ride with us. Connections with local transit service is also available at each stop along the route.
Tickets: Amtrak sells tickets. Our bus drivers do not sell tickets. Read more about tickets.
Amenities: This route’s modern 51-passenger buses have restrooms, free Wi-Fi, power outlets, air conditioning, space for your luggage and bike, and are wheelchair accessible. Read more about amenities.
Eastern (Bend-Ontario)
The Eastern Route provides service between Bend and Ontario, making a total of 11 stops.
Schedule: There is normally one trip per day in each direction, however the route is temporarily operating a Monday-Friday only schedule due to the pandemic. See the Eastern schedule.
Connections: This route's primary connections are with the westbound Greyhound bus in Ontario (Schedule 1343, Salt Lake City-Portland) and with Pacific Crest Bus Lines' services to/from Eugene and the Chemult Amtrak Station serving Hawthorne Station in Bend. The route also connects with Cascades East Transit (CET) local service at Hawthorne Station in Bend.

SouthWest (Klamath Falls-Brookings)
Providing daily service between the Klamath Falls Amtrak Station, Medford Airport, Crescent City, and Brookings.
Schedule: The SouthWest Route includes two segments. See the SouthWest schedules page, or print the schedule.
- Klamath Falls-Medford: Operates every day of the week and holidays.
- Cave Junction-Brookings: Operates Monday through Friday and holidays.
Medford-Cave Junction bus bridge: The SouthWest Route includes a free local connecting service provided by Josephine Community Transit (JCT) (Route 50 and Route 100) for seamless travel between Medford and Cave Junction. The schedule for this service is coordinated with POINT and operates Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. POINT passengers may ride to or from any of JCT's regular stops between Medford and Cave Junction. See and print JCT's full schedule with all stops. Learn how ticketing works.
Tickets: The different ticket options for each segment are listed below. POINT drivers do not sell tickets. Learn more.
- Klamath Falls-Medford segment: Purchase tickets from Amtrak, Pacific Crest Bus Lines, and Greyhound.
- Cave Junction-Brookings segment: Purchase tickets from Pacific Crest Bus Lines and Greyhound. (Amtrak ticketing coming soon!).
- Medford-Cave Junction bus bridge: No JCT ticket purchase or reservation necessary to use the connecting service between Medford and Cave Junction. Valid POINT ticket must be presented upon boarding JCT buses to ride between Medford and Cave Junction (Route 50 and Route 100). Learn more about JCT service.
Connections: The SouthWest's main connections are with Amtrak Coast Starlight train service in Klamath Falls and the free Medford-Cave Junction bus bridge provided by Josephine Community Transit (JCT). POINT passengers can also access additional services at the following stops:
- Medford and Ashland: Local bus service provided by Rogue Valley Transportation District.
- Medford Front Street Station: Intercity bus service to Portland and California provided by Greyhound.
- Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport: Non-stop airline service to 10 destinations in the western U.S.
- Crescent City: Local bus service and intercity service to Arcata, CA provided by Redwood Coast Transit.
- Brookings: Intercity bus service to Bandon, Coos Bay, North Bend, and more provided by Curry Public Transit.
Amenities: This route’s 21- to 32-passenger buses have free Wi-Fi, USB and power outlets, tray tables and cup holders, and space for your bags and bike. All POINT buses are wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant. Learn more about the amenities.

NOTE: The 5503 southbound bus is subject to delays leaving Portland as a result of the Amtrak trains arriving from Seattle. When trains arrive late to Union Station we are required to delay our departure so that train passengers can board our buses. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes. Please contact us or see the Union Station staff if your wait time is longer than 30 minutes.
