The POINT is managed by the Oregon Department of Transportation and operated by local bus companies. In order to connect to the regional and national network of trains and buses, passengers can buy our tickets from several different places. Please note the following:

We don't sell tickets on this website and drivers don't sell tickets.
Passengers have several options for buying tickets. We recommend buying your ticket from BusTickets.com or the Amtrak website and mobile app. No matter where you get your ticket, you will still be riding the same service.
Each route uses a reservation system so we can guarantee our riders a seat on the bus. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
For safety reasons, the POINT only uses the designated stops listed on our schedules. We do not make unscheduled or “flag” stops.

Cascades (Portland-Eugene)

How to purchase tickets on the cascades route

Tickets can be purchased online, using mobile apps, over the phone, or in-person. Amtrak is our exclusive ticket seller for this route. You can generally buy a ticket up until about 30 minutes before the bus leaves but we recommend buying further in advance of your trip. Adult fares range from $4 to $18. Several discounts are available from Amtrak.

Monthly and 10-ride passes are also available from Amtrak. Monthly passes are valid for up to two trips a day (once in each direction) between any of our stops for an entire calendar month. 10-ride passes are good for 90 days and allow you to ride to and from any of our stops at a discounted rate. Buy your multi-ride pass from Amtrak.

The route is operated by MTRWestern and connects with trains and other buses at Union Station. MTRWestern does not sell tickets.

Online

Visit Amtrak’s website to buy your ticket. Amtrak's system calls our service a "Connecting Bus" or "Thruway" bus. Amtrak gives each of our buses a 4-digit number depending on the schedule and direction of travel. View detailed instructions for purchasing tickets from the Amtrak website.
