Despite lower ridership and revenue, the Eastern Route maintains the best on-time performance and has had the 2nd lowest average cost per mile among the four POINT routes from 2020 to 2024. Effective Wednesday, January 15, 2025 minor schedule adjustments will be made to the Eastern Route in order to improve connections with Pacific Crest Bus Lines service in Bend. These changes will make it easier for our passengers transferring to and from services to Eugene and Klamath Falls. Find the new schedule below. We recommend buying tickets from Amtrak.

Passengers should also note that transfers with FlixBus service at Ontario will end on January 15 due to the discontinuation of Pasco, WA to Boise, ID, service. FlixBus service between Portland and Pasco is scheduled to continue as normal. Impacted POINT passengers should contact FlixBus customer service. Learn more about the FlixBus changes here.

Beginning Sunday, September 15, the POINT's stop at the University of Oregon will be moving to the Jaqua Academic Center located at 1615 East 13th Ave.

Effective Monday, December 11, 2023, we will be making major changes to the northbound schedule to coincide with the recently announced new Amtrak Cascades train schedule. There will also be a few small changes to the southbound schedule. Our new schedule will help us make connections with all of our NorthWest Route buses in Portland as well as the new trains. The new schedule is below. Passengers who have already purchased a ticket should contact Amtrak if you need to change your itinerary.
